AIIT 1103 - Concepts of Advanced Manufacturing

Prerequisites: MATH Competencies 1-5, READ 0810  

The student must provide documentation of successful completion of a manufacturing or industrial technology program at a Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) to the Dean of Business, Technology and Allied Health to receive permission to enroll in this course.

This course is a transition course for those students accepted into the Advanced Integrated Industrial Technology Program with a certificate of completion from an acceptable manufacturing or similar program at a Tennessee College of Applied Technology. The course focuses on the principles of advanced manufacturing including fluid control, electricity, workplace safety, mechanical systems, process controls, pneumatics and hydraulics. 4 hours lecture.
