HIMT 2309 - Data Analysis and Statistics

Prerequisites: MATH competencies 1-5, HIMT 1301  

This course instructs students in health data collection, commonly used healthcare statistical computations and interpretation, presentation and reporting of data, indices, databases and registries along with statistics computed for daily operations of the health information management department. This course also includes basic research principles along with the purpose of Institutional Review Board and its role in research. 3 hours lecture.
