The Mechatronics: Mechanical Components 1 certificate provides students with a basic knowledge of the principles and applications of the most commonly found mechanical drive components as used in plant machinery and systems.

TYPICAL JOBS: Coil winders, tapers and finishers; computer-controlled machine tool operators; electrical and electronics repairers, commercial and industrial equipment operators; electric motor, power tool and related repairers; inspectors, testers, sorters, samplers and weighers; plant and systems operators; instrument control technicians; installation, maintenance and repair technicians; production shift leaders; manufacturing technicians; industrial control technicians; process improvement technicians; industrial maintenance technicians; power generating and reactor plant operators
