Advanced Integrated Industrial Technology, A.A.S.


The A.A.S. degree in Advanced Integrated Industrial Technology is designed to prepare students for employment or advancement in a manufacturing or industrial environment immediately following graduation. Skills obtained in this program could be applied to a variety of settings, including electrical, mechanical, or processes.

This major is specifically designed for students who plan to enter the workforce after graduation. Students who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree should follow an emphasis in the University Parallel Major leading to the Associate of Science degree.

To facilitate success in this program, all students should enroll in ORN 1010 - Orientation: Learning to Succeed  during their first semester at DSCC.

TYPICAL JOBS: Coil winders, tapers and finishers; computer-controlled machine tool operators; electrical and electronics repairers, commercial and industrial equipment; electric motor, power tool and related repairers; inspectors, testers, sorters, samplers and weighers; machine feeders and offbearers; packaging and filling machine operators and tenders; plant and systems operators; team assemblers; installation, maintenance and repair technicians; production shift leaders; manufacturing technicians; process improvement technicians; automated manufacturing technicians; industrial engineering technicians; electro-mechanical technicians; process control programmers
