The Paramedic concentration provides a student with the competencies necessary to assume the role of a leader in Emergency Medical Services or Public Safety. Upon completion of this concentration, the graduate possesses the skills and abilities to function in the workforce as a Paramedic in a leadership role.
This concentration is specifically designed for students who plan to enter the workforce after graduation. Students who plan to pursue a higher degree should plan to meet with the EMS program director or faculty member.
The Dyersburg State Community College Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP, www.coaemsp.org).
