This course includes written studies in four-part harmonic progressions in root position, first inversion and second inversion; non-harmonic tones; dominant seventh chords; as well as study of elementary musical forms and elementary modulation practices. Students are expected to enter their written harmonization assignments into Finale and Sibelius. Analysis of works with a medium level of complexity will be introduced. 3 hours lecture.
