PSCI 1020 - Principles of Earth/Space

Credits: 4
As Needed
Prerequisites: ENGL 0810 , Math competencies 1-5 , READ 0810  

This course is an overview of the nature of science and the basic aspects of the physical sciences, aimed at presenting the essentials of chemistry, astronomy and geology in a clear, easy-to-understand way: the atom and the periodic table, chemical reactions, organic chemistry, the evolving earth, the solar system, the stars and the universe. 3 hours lecture, 2 hours laboratory.
