EMSB 1101 - EMT Medical Skills Lab

Credits: 1
**Not Part of a Tennessee Transfer Pathway**

Prerequisites:  ENGL 0810 , READ 0810  - ENGL 0810 and READ 0810 may be taken as corequisities with permission of the instructor.

Co-requisites: EMSB 1111 , EMSB 1601  

This course is a laboratory-based course utilizing scenarios to emphasize EMS operations, communications, documentation, medical/legal/ethical considerations, airway management, respiratory emergencies, cardiovascular emergencies, acute diabetic emergencies, abdominal and gastrointestinal emergencies, urologic emergencies, anaphylactic reactions, behavioral emergencies, assisting with medication administration, and successful assessment of patients with a variety of medical concerns. This course includes application of principles and processes discussed in EMT Medical Emergencies. 1 hour lecture, 1 hour laboratory.
