This course is an introduction to the fundamental principles of chemistry. Topics discussed include chemical notation and equations, the chemical mole concept, mass relationships, gases, energy changes and chemical reactions, atomic theory, periodic relationships, chemical bonding and molecular geometry. 3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.
