MATH 1005 - Foundations of College MathematicsCredits: 3 **Not Part of a Tennessee Transfer Pathway**
F, Sp, Su - Dyersburg/F, Sp, Su - JNC/F, Sp - GCC Prerequisites: ACT Mathematics subscore between 19 and 21 OR a COMPASS Algebra score between 38 and 49 OR a Classic Accuplacer score of 92 or greater OR a Next Generation Accuplacer score of 250 or greater OR successful completion of Math competencies 1-5 OR DSPM 0800 OR concurrent enrollment in MATH 0105.
This course covers factoring polynomials; solving quadratic equations, rational equations, radical equations, applied problems, and complex numbers. 3 hours lecture, 2 hours laboratory.
MATH 1005 will not fulfill the mathematics requirement for graduation.
