This course is a study of the procedural coding and classification system used in classification of medical procedures and employed to organize medical information for future retrieval. Application of the current International Classification of Diseases Official Coding Guidelines as related to procedure coding will be addressed. Assignment of current coding and classification codes based on documentation will be practiced. 3 hours lecture.
