****Students who plan to transfer to Austin Peay State University, East Tennessee State University, UT Chattanooga, or UT Martin must complete Computer Science I & II (Programming) instead of Computer Applications and electives. For these students, the total hours in the area of emphasis will be 20, and the total hours in the Tennessee Transfer Pathway will be 61.
*****General electives must be selected from courses which are part of a Tennessee Transfer Pathway. Consult the Course Descriptions section in this catalog. Courses which are designated as **Not Part of a Tennessee Transfer Pathway** should not be taken as general electives.
Note: During the sophomore year, all students planning to teach should meet the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) or ACT testing requirements for their transfer institution.

At some universities, foreign language may be required in certain programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science degree. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found on the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee Systems. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
