**Students should confer with their advisor or a representative of the university to which they intend to transfer to determine the recommended Humanities/Fine Arts courses. Students who intend to transfer to the University of Memphis should take a literature sequence to fulfill this requirement. TSU also recommends a literature sequence.
***Students who plan to transfer to UT Knoxville are strongly encouraged to take non-U.S. history courses to fulfill the General Education history requirement.
****TSU requires ECON. The University of Memphis and UT Chattanooga require ANTHRO.
*****Students should consult the catalog of their transfer institution for guidance in selecting elective hours; however, students planning to transfer to UT Martin, the University of Memphis, or Union University should take SWRK 2020 - Culture and Diversity (3 credit hours).
******General electives must be selected from courses which are part of a Tennessee Transfer Pathway. Consult the Course Descriptions section in this catalog. Courses which are designated as **Not Part of a Tennessee Transfer Pathway** should not be taken as general electives.
*******Students who intend to transfer to APSU or UT Martin should take BIOL 2010 as an unspecified elective.

At some universities, foreign language may be required in certain programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science degree. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found on the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee Systems. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
