The Political Science emphasis provides students various foundational courses in the field of political science. The student completes the first two years of requirements leading toward a baccalaureate degree.

Students who intend to transfer to UT Knoxville should take 6 credit hours of a non-U.S. History sequence to fulfill the history requirement. UT Chattanooga requires that one of the history courses be U. S. History.
