CHEM 2020 - Organic Chemistry II

Credits: 4
As Needed
Prerequisites: CHEM 2010  

This course is a continuation of CHEM 2010 . Topics discussed include structures, reactions and synthesis of aliphatic and aromatic organic compounds with various important functional groups. Emphasis is given to carbonyl-group compounds and their applications in organic synthesis as well as spectroscopic studies of both aliphatic and aromatic compounds. 3 hours lecture, 4 hours laboratory.
