HIMT 2322 - Medical Coding and Billing Capstone Course

Prerequisites:  HIMT 1306 , HIMT 1303 , HIMT 2301 , HIMT 2302  

Co-requisites: HIMT 2303  

This capstone course serves as a comprehensive culmination of the Medical Coding and Billing Certificate program, providing an in-depth review of fundamental concepts and skills acquired throughout the curriculum. Emphasizing key knowledge areas tested in the CPC exam (AAPC), this course prepares students to confidently approach certification. Through a combination of focused review, practical exercises, and collaborative learning, students will reinforce their understanding of coding standards, billing practices, and compliance requirements essential for success in the medical coding field.
(This class must be taken in the student’s last semester)  3 hours lecture.
