MATH 1530 - Introductory Statistics

F, Sp, Su - Dyersburg/F, Sp, Su - JNC
Prerequisites: READ 0810 ; ACT Mathematics sub score of 19 or greater OR COMPASS Algebra score of 38 or greater OR Classic Accuplacer score of 92 or greater OR Next Generation Accuplacer score of 250 or greater OR successful completion of Math Competencies 1-5 OR DSPM 0800 OR concurrent enrollment in MATH 0530 ; May be concurrently enrolled in ENGL 0810  

This course emphasizes both descriptive and inferential statistics through organization and analysis of data using graphs, probability, probability distributions, one and two-sample hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, goodness of fit, and tests of independence. 3 hours lecture.
