PHYS 1020 - Introductory Physics IICredits: 4 As Needed Prerequisites: ENGL 0810 , MATH 0105 or MATH 0530 , READ 0810
This course is intended to give students an overview of the basic principles of physics and the scientific process. It focuses on a conceptual survey of topics in physics including fundamentals of electricity, magnetism, optics and modern physics. It also has a laboratory component. The course is primarily designed for liberal arts and other non-science majors, but science majors with a weak physics background may wish to use it as an introduction to physics principles. 3 hours lecture and 3 hours laboratory.
