Cloud Computing has transformed the IT industry by opening the possibility for infinite or at least highly elastic scalability in thedelivery of enterprise applications and software as a service (SaaS). Amazon Web Services, Microsoft’s Azure, Google Cloud Platform,and many other Cloud offerings give mature software vendors and new start-ups the option to deploy their applications to systems ofinfinite computational power with practically no initial capital investment and with modest operating costs proportional to the actualuse. This course examines cloud computing fundamentals including its characteristics, benefits, service models, and deploymentmodels. It details the elements that commonly exist in a cloud environment. This course also describes emerging cloud standards forportability, interoperability, and security. It gives you an overview of the integration of social, mobile, and big data (third platformtechnologies) with cloud computing.  3 hours lecture.
