**Students who select the Biology TTP with the intention to concentrate in pre-med or other pre-health related fields at the university are strongly recommended to take Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Sociology.
***Students transferring to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville need an additional writing intensive communication course (see UTK’s website for a list of approved courses). Students transferring to UT Knoxville must also complete a sequence of non-U.S. history.
****Students transferring to ETSU, TTU, UTC, UTM, and UTS should take MATH 1530 Introductory Statistics. Students transferring to APSU, MTSU, UOM, UTK should take MATH 1910: Calculus I. Students transferring to TSU should take MATH 1720 or higher.
*****Students transferring to UTK should take MATH 1920: Calculus II. Students trans ferring to ETSU should take MATH 1910: Calculus I. Students transferring to TTU or UTC should take MATH 1130: College Algebra or MATH 1710: Pre-Calculus Algebra. Students transferring to any other institution should contact an advisor to determine the appropriate elective.
******Students transferring to TTU should contact an advisor to determine the appropriate course; you may not need to take CHEM 2020, depending on the Area of Concentration.
Note: During the sophomore year, students planning to teach should meet the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) or ACT testing requirements for their transfer institution.

At some universities, foreign language may be required in certain programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science degree. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found on the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee Systems. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
